How Much Does A Verizon Insurance Claim Cost?
The deductible to file a Verizon insurance claim will depend on the device you own, and you can use the Asurion Insurance Deductible Look-Up Tool to find out how much your deductible will be.
For example, your device might only have a $9 deductible, but your spouse might have a $249 deductible, so it's important to look it up on the Asurion website so you can budget for the fee.
The deductible price can also change. If you made a claim two years ago, it is possible that you will have to pay more now or less, even though you have the exact same product.
For claims related to damaged phones, stolen or lost phones and for repairs, you will have to pay deductibles.
What does phone insurance cover?
Your phone insurance package may differ depending on the provider you choose, just as it will depend on which network you use. You can ask yourself questions that will help you determine the factors most important to your life. Do you want to be covered in the event of theft, accidental damage or breakdowns? Would you like phone accessories like cases, protective screen covers and headphones to be covered too? How much extra are you prepared to pay for? These answers will help to determine the level of coverage you choose.
So-sure Phone Insurance Covers:
When can I claim my phone insurance?
You should be aware that the cover with some phone insurance companies doesn't actually kick in for 14 days. If your phone is damaged in this time frame, then you are not covered and the insurance company will not pay. Make sure you check the small print here!
You can claim your insurance on a phone if it is stolen or damaged, no matter how old your policy may be. The insurance team will undertake necessary checks to ensure that the claim is valid.
It's worth noting that, if your phone is stolen, you should contact your local police station as soon as you notice it is missing and make a note of the incident number. Call your provider to suspend your account and prevent unauthorised usage of your device. Call your insurer with these details so they can start processing your claim.
How to Get a New Phone
Once you're done turning off Find My iPhone, the claim completes, and then Asurion overnights you a new phone. You activate the phone when you receive it.
You will need to return the handset to Asurion. You will receive a pre-paid postage package. You have about a week to send it back. If you don't you'll be charged the cost of a new phone.
Asurion will also inspect your phone once it is returned to them. They may reject your claim if the damages described don't match what they see. You will be charged for a brand new phone if they deny it. So, don't file any fraudulent insurance claims.
What is Cell Phone Insurance?
Insurance or protection plans for your cellphone may be available from phone manufacturers, wireless providers, insurance companies and retailers. Insurance options tend to work in similar ways. Typically, you'll:
As you're considering your options, it's important to look at how each plan differs. For example, some options don't cover loss and theft, and many plans limit how many claims you can file. You may also have unique needs for coverage. You may drop your phone often, and so choose a policy that offers comprehensive coverage against loss or theft.
